Ceylon Cinnamon Tea

This recipe is great to drink during the holidays. It helps cures the worst sickness and leaves your body feeling relaxed and soothed. The cinnamon helps to repair damaged cells.The rum will knock you out and help you sleep so your body can use all the energy to fight those pesky bacteria and viruses. More importantly this drink gives you a psychological boost, warming, and comforting you on a bitterly cold and wet day.

Ingredients

    2 Cinnamon Tea bag, Ceylon Tea

    1 tsp whole cloves
  • Image
    6 Cardamom pods, crushed
  • Image
    2 star anise pod
  • Image
    1 tsp black peppercorn
  • Image
    3 oz rum
  • Image
    2 tablespoons honey or sweetner
  • Image
    1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Image
    32 oz water
  • Image
    tapioca boba (optional)

Method

    Combine the crushed cardamom pod, cloves, star anise, black peppercorn and place all the loose spices into a cheese cloth to drain.

    Add 16 oz of water into a pan, drop the spice cheese cloth into the pan and bring to a boil on medium heat.

    Add the Cinnamon Tea bag, cover, boil for another minute and let it steep for 4 minutes.

    Add the rum, honey and fresh lemon juice, mix well and sip continuously until finished. Do not let it get cold. Finish slowly in one setting.

    16oz makes two cups or one large mug. Always use fresh ingredients for maximum effect. Never boil honey as it will all it’s beneficial properties. Add honey last for sweeter taste. You can always add tapioca boba to your drink to give it a twist.
