Yummy & Delicious, Poha Kachori is savoury on the palate and a healthy snack to pair up with your Tea time!

Ingredients

    1/2 cup thick poha (flattened rice) (soaked in little water)

    1 onion finely chopped
  • Image
    2 tbsp grated coconut
  • Image
    1/4 cup boiled green peas
  • Image
    2 tbsp roasted peanuts Coriander leaves
  • Image
    3 green chilies
  • Image
    Juice of half a lime
  • Image
    1/4 tsp chat masala
  • Image
    1tbsp powdered sugar
  • Image
    To taste
  • For Outer Covering

  • Image
    4 potatoes boiled and mashed
  • Image
    1 1/2 tbsp corn flour
  • Image
    1/4 tsp garam masala
  • Image
    2 slices of bread
  • Image
    1 tbsp milk
  • Image
    Salt to taste
Method
  • Image
    In a bowl add poha, onions, green peas, grated coconut, roasted peanuts, coriander leaves, green chilies, juice of lime, chat masala, powdered sugar, salt to taste and mix this all well

    Add Mashed potatoes, corn flour, garam masala and salt to taste.
  • Image
    Soak 2 slices of bread in very little milk and take out the sides add the bread in potato mash and knead it properly.

    Apply corn flour to you hand, take big ball of potato mash, make a hole in it and add the poha filling and seal the ball.

    In a pan heat oil and add the poha kachoris to it and fry well until golden brown – Poha Kachori is ready!
